Deviation Actions
I'm not usually one to advertise this sort of thing. It's not my place to try and tell people what I think they should do, but this is just so ridiculous in my opinion, that it needs to be stopped if not just because of the sheer moronic and incorrect nature of it.
For clarification, in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, which I watch, there is a character named Derpy, named so because of her characteristic cross-eyed look that was originally an animation error. She gained a large fanbase over time, and became known by the creators as Derpy as well, finally getting a speaking role and confirmation of her name in episode 14 of season 2.
You can see Derpy here in a 50 second clip www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBUVF6…
For those who don't know, the word "Derp" refers to a mistake that, in retrospect, seems painfully obvious and should never have been made. Case in point, her cross-eyed look and ditzy nature
Unfortunately, someone decided to complain about the name, claiming that Derpy is a slur against people with disabilities.
In a word, or three: What. The. Fuck?

Seriously, you don't have to like the show. You can think I'm some kind of freak for being 23 and liking MLP:FiM, I don't care, please, just think about stopping this latest ridiculous attempt to inflict bastardised political correctness on a perfectly innocent show.

Stay Safe Everyone
I'll forgo the "this has been coming" talk, because we all know experts have been saying it for years. The point is, I know I don't really know many of you out there, but I'm happy to say that I've thought about it, and it doesn't really matter whether I know you or not. If there's a silver lining in any of this, it's that an implacable foe like COVID-19 makes all the other niggling problems seem a little less niggling.
Good luck everybody.
Primal (spoilers ahead)
So yeah, just finished watching Primal, by Genndy Tartokovsky, alternately that guy whose name I could never pronounce when I was younger, and I have to say that I am simultaneously delighted, and disappointed.
Cover delighted by basically the first 98% of the entire show. I don't think that there was one thing in that show that I could find any objective fault with before the very end. The show garnered some attention and praise for its signature use of storytelling without any form of speech, and the familiar Tartokovsky use of slow movements during action scenes. The relationship between Spear (the human) and Fang (the dinosaur) is a fami
Wreck-it Ralph 2: A pleasant surprise
So before I begin, no, this won't be a review of the movie in general, just basically me enumerating my surprise at how good it was in its overall message. Don't get me wrong, I loved the first one. One of my favourite Disney movies of all time. But as I've grown older I've found myself becoming ever warier of sequels to anything.
That being said, spoilers ahead.
Whilst the first movie fixated on the struggle to break out of assigned roles, with a clear villain with a clear motive, the second movie doesn't follow this mold, and I'm thrilled that it didn't. There's no villain to really speak of in the context of an ultimate antagonist direct
Rant on Morality
So, I've had the question "where do you get your morality from?" put to me before. Usually, most often, a good amount of the time, this question is put to me good-naturedly, with a genuine sense of curiosity, or with varying levels of incredulity. And it doesn't happen often. It happens so little that each time it does, it still surprises me that someone needs to ask the question.
That said, I was recently... shall we say, "confronted", on the subject. By which I mean, someone incidentally found out I don't believe in any gods via a conversation we were having, and they didn't handle it well. Why it should have mattered to them, a perfect st

Political Correctness has been abused for the last ten years now. That's a conversation in itself though.
Still someone thinks that's a slur against someone with disabilities. Must be one of those idiot mothers that don't like the word "retarded" because her son is actually retarded when it's not directed at people with disabilities and didn't for 20 years.
Damn me rambling, main point, DON'T FUCK WITH DERPY WE LOVE HER!!!
By the way, if her being cross-eyed was an animation error, that was a hell of an error if it lasted for so long.
